Originally from Puerto Rico, Tati Rabell grew up studying classical guitar and Latin jazz rhythms, as well as writing songs and poetry since the age of 14. After attending college for Electronic Engineering & Filmmaking, Tati began her music career in 2009, recording her debut EP titled ‘TMI’ at Blue Rhode Studios in Los Angeles.
Since releasing ‘TMI’ in 2010, Tati has independently released two additional EP's titled ‘What I Want’ and ‘The Way Out’, both in 2015. Each release taking a new musical turn, altogether navigating multiple genres such as quirky folk, indie rock, Latin beats, indie pop, dance pop, and later on landing on her current style of dreamy electropop with ethereal vocals in both Spanish and English.
Her latest production, full-length debut album ’Flotando’, is her first album to be fully written, produced, composed and performed by Tati herself, taking her more deeply into the dream pop genre, with chillout beats and mellow indie rhythms. 'Flotando' is additionally the most personal of Tati's albums, telling stories of love, existentialism and transformation with open-hearted vulnerability. 'Flotando' was recorded and arranged in her home-studio in Cusco, Peru, where she currently is making music and practicing other healing arts.
Tati continues to work with her collaborators at Blue Rhode Studios, North Hollywood, and select songwriters and producers from Los Angeles. 'Flotando' was mixed and mastered by Andrew De Lucia in Blue Rhode Studios. The track ‘Army of Gemini’ was written in collaboration with Los Angeles composer Sage Lewis who wrote the original music. Additionally the track ‘Noche Serena’ was recorded with sound healer, DJ and musician Ryan Seay at his California home studio.
Beyond her changing style, Tati's lyrics, soaring melodies, world beats and delicate voice continue to evolve and surprise us. Don't miss her latest!
